THE EFFECTIVENESS OF SOCRATIC BY GOOGLE APPLICATION USAGE ON MATHEMATICS LEARNING AT GRADE VIII STUDENTS OF SMP NEGERI 2 PAREPARE

This research is Quasi Eksperimental research which purpose to determine the effectiveness of using the Socratic By Google application on mathematics learning for grade VIII in a junior high school in Parepare. The sampling technique is cluster random sampling, were 32 students are used as the research sample. Data collection was carried out using research instruments in the form of test sheets, student activity observation sheets, teacher ability observation sheets to manage learning and questionnaire sheets. The result of this research showed that Mathematics Learning using Socratic by Google application was proved effective for students in grade VIII SMPN 2 Parepare. This is indicated by: (1) an increase in student learning with an average normalized gain value of 0.65. (2) Student activity in the learning process with an average presentation value of 69.44% is in the "Good" category. (3) The teacher's ability to manage learning with an average score of 3.49 is in the "Good" category. (4) Student responses in the learning process with an average presentation value of 79.76% are said to be positive
