Abstract

The aim of the study was to find out how the mathematical representation abilities of students of the Tadris Mathematics Study Program at IAIN Pontianak are. The research method is descriptive quantitative. The research subjects were 21 people Tadris Matematika IAIN Pontianak. Data collection techniques using test techniques. The research instrument used was a question sheet to test the ability of mathematical representation. Data analysis used is descriptive statistics. The results showed that students who answered the questions according to the indicators used visual representations (images) to solve math problems were categorized as high and students who answered questions according to the indicators translated from verbal representations (writing) into visual representations (pictures) of mathematics with writing categorized as high
