Terapi Nebulizer dengan Kontrol Napas terhadap Frekuensi Napas dan Saturasi Oksigen Pasien dengan COPD

Prevalensi Penyakit Paru Obstruktif Kronis (PPOK) di Indonesia mencapai 3,7%. Batuk secara periodik, dyspnea, dan produksi sputum merupakan gejala yang ditimbulkan dan sesak napas adalah keluhan utama datang ke pelayanan kesehatan. PPOK dapat menimbulkan hipoksemia, indikatornya penurunan saturasi oksigen yang dapat mengakibatkan fungsi paru semakin memburuk,sehingga kualitas hidup menurun, sehingga diperlukan perawatan mendesak secara farmakologis dan non farmakologis. Tujuan penelitian ini menganalisis efektifitas terapi nebulizer dan kontrol napas terhadap frekuensi napas dan saturasi oksigen pada penderita dengan PPOK. Desain penelitian adalah quasi eksperimen dengan The Unthreatad Control Group Design with Pretest and Posttest. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 50 responden dengan simple random sampling, pada kelompok intervensi ditambahkan kontrol napas yaitu posisi CKD dan PLB, pada kelompok control posisi semi fowler dan PLB. Instrument penelitian menggunakan lembar observasi dan oximeter dan analisis data menggunakan paired t test dan independent t test. Hasil terdapat perbedaan frekuensi napas antara kelompok intervensi dengan kelompok kontrol p=0,038 dengan nilai efektifitas sebesar 47% dan terdapat perbedaan saturasi oksigen antara kelompok intervensi dengan kelompok kontrol p=0,000 dengan nilai efektifitas sebesar 87,5%. Terapi Nebulizer dan kontrol napas dapat dijadikan salah satu kombinasi intervensi keperawatan dalam penanganan sesak pada penderita PPOK
